Stacker Cranes
The stacker utilizes a system consisting of two overhead bridges that move along two runways, enabling smooth North-South-East-West movement. Within this setup, a pair of forks (or grippers) traverse vertically along two vertical columns.
Experience the Stacker Difference
The stacker crane is offered in several capacities, ranging from 100kg to 2,000kg. For the higher capacities, it is necessary to have tractor drives that can provide thrust in any direction upon request. In terms of rotating the crane along its vertical axis, this task is manually performed by the operator using bearings that reduce friction.
In the provided video, the crane is operated with a combination of human effort and the assistance of tractor drives. The operator maintains complete control over the crane’s movements.
The crane columns are typically positioned outside of the rack to allow unobstructed movement of the stacker, enabling seamless traversal in all directions (North, South, East, and West), thus maximizing operational efficiency. This crane can be powered either electrically or by air, providing flexibility to accommodate different operational requirements. Whether manually controlled or automated, it can be customized to suit specific needs.

A warehouse rack or cantilevered rack is the preferred method of material storage, but its efficiency is dependent on the availability of the proper type of crane for loading and unloading activities.
