Moving heavy loads with cranes can sometimes require more traction than manual movement alone can provide. At the same time, bulky drive systems can add weight and complexity to an operation.
The ATS Mini Tractor Drive was developed to solve this challenge by delivering strong pulling power in a compact, lightweight design.
Weighing only 25 pounds, the ATS is about half the weight of our traditional tractor drives, such as the AT (Air Tractor) or ET (Electric Tractor). Its compact size allows it to be easily carried with one hand, making installation and handling simple for operators.
Despite its small footprint, the ATS provides an impressive draw-bar pull of at least 120 pounds (500 N)—enough traction to move loads of up to one ton.

The ATS Mini Tractor Drive is designed for applications where controlled movement of suspended loads is important.
It can be tuned to run as slowly as 0.05 m/sec, allowing it to match the line speed of systems such as automotive assembly lines. For operations that require faster movement, it can be adjusted to run up to 0.4 m/sec, creating an 8:1 speed range that provides flexibility for different production needs.
This range allows the system to support both precise positioning and efficient movement across the workspace.
