The STD-ETD (Electric Tractor Drive) is designed to bring precision, flexibility, and operator freedom to bridge crane and monorail systems. It offers a clean, fully electric solution for moving heavy loads across your work area without the need for constant engagement.

Unlike traditional drives that remain in contact with the rail at all times, this system disengages when not in use, allowing for manual repositioning of the hoist without added resistance. When you’re ready to power a move, the system re-engages instantly with the press of a button, delivering reliable, controlled motion on demand.

The Disengage-able Difference

Traditional tractor drives stay engaged with the rail at all times. That means if you want to manually reposition your hoist, you’re stuck pressing control buttons to crawl along even when you don’t need powered assistance. It slows down the workflow and limits flexibility.

Years ago, Givens solved this with a pneumatic disengage feature on our air tractors. But many crane systems are designed to be all electric, and introducing air added unwanted complexity.

Now, for the first time, you get true disengage-ability in a fully electric system. Cleaner setup. More control. Less restriction.

Control is simple: This hands-on control gives you the flexibility to work the way you want whether you’re inching into position or moving quickly across the bay.

• Select “Momentary Engage” on the pendant
• Press a direction button to move the hoist
• The drive wheel rises to contact the rail and powers the movement
• Release the button and the drive wheel disengages automatically
